Welcome to our page. The 13th Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Company D, is a living history/reenactment group based in Ocala, FL. We are organized and operated for the purposes of educating the general public concerning the role and heritage of the Union soldiers who fought and died to preserve the Union during the 1861-1865 period. We are currently seeking new members who are interested in accurately portraying a Union infantry impression of the American Civil War. The 13th Illinois is a family-oriented unit that encourages the participation of the unit wives, girlfriends, and children of the soldiers. If interested in joining us to honor the soldiers of the past, please contact our unit recruiter Mark Marusek at Illinois13thInf@aol.com.
